100 Things About Me

This is a work in progress... sort of a self discovery list of sorts!

1. I am claustrophobic

2. I met my husband when I was 18!

3. I have 2 brother's I love dearly and other siblings from my father whom I don't know
4. My kids have me "snowed" and they know it!
5. I graduated college and earned my bachelor's degree with my kids watching me walk across that stage!  ( Such a great feeling)
6. I'm scared/well petrified of rodents
7. I like my alone time
8. I began working when I was 14 years old to help support my family.
9. I am a total klutz, but have never broken any bones
10. I am superstitious
11. I have a gluten allergy which took me sometime to get used to.  Now I love how healthy I feel.
12. I was infertile for 3 years before I had my first born.
13. I love chocolate
14. I love to read
15. I cry at silly commercials, romantic movies, comedies, songs, books, poems, weddings, funerals, parties, speeches, well, you name it, I'm crying!
16. I don't like confrontations
17. I'm extremely loyal
18. I love to watch movies
19. I can hold a grudge, but I'm actively working on that...
20. I can't tell people No and often over extend myself because of it.  I'm working on that...
21. I was in a fight in high school and was terrified of the girl.  She bullied me mentally for a while and recently asked me to be her friend on Facebook...I accepted, go figure (see # 20)
22. I've been mugged 4 times in my lifetime.
23. I am a driven and passionate person.
24. I don't like people messing with my family and become like a lion protecting her young.  (still don't like confrontation, but will go into battle in a Milli second for my family and close ones.)
25. I was falsely accused of a terrible thing at work and fought for the truth, but lost.  I saw how loyalty and honesty work in the work place and was destroyed emotionally.  I was touched by how some co-workers stood by my side and left their jobs out of honor and integrity when the bad guys won.  It was a hard time and it's taking years for me to be strong again, I'm always working on this and trying to get back to that person I used to be.
26. I always believed that good guys always won, but found out it's not always the case right away.
27. I believe in Karma
28. I try to avoid negative people
29. I love to create things
30. I've had a tumor underneath my brain and am now fine
31. I can sew
32. I love to bake
33. I can "cook" but I would love to be like my husband and "create" meals!
34. When I'm stressed, I rearrange my furniture
35. I love decorating for the holidays
36. I love fall and spring
37. I enjoy having my own business
38. I would love to own and run an art gallery/cupcake shop/coffee shop combo...how fun!
39. I always wanted a big church wedding but didn't get to have one
40. I was born in Nicaragua, in the little town of Jinotepe because the big city hospital was in rubbles from the earthquake.
41. I've lived in 3 countries and 5 different cities.
42. I've traveled from Nicaragua to Costa Rica, Bahamas, the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, France, Monaco, Greece and plan on traveling more in my lifetime.
43. I love to travel...
44. I bought my first car when I was 17 for $500.00
45. I began contributing to a 401K when I was 18.
46. I love to run and need to get back to it.
47. I love to take photographs, and can become obsessive with it.
48. I love to paint, and wish I could really put time aside to spend in my studio just painting.  It just makes me smile.
49. I went through an earthquake, a civil war, several hurricanes and floods including Hurricane Katrina, in my lifetime
50. I love to sleep in
51. I don't like teenagers, but have to figure out a way to!!!!!!!!!!!
52.You can read every emotion on my face-even when I try my hardest to hide it.  It's a curse.
53. I love babies and love smelling their little feet
54. I used to bring my babies socks to work with me because I missed them so much
55. I secretly want to be a stay at home mom, but do love having my professional life...go figure
56. I nursed my kids until they were 7 and 9 mos. (until they cut teeth), but they drank my breast milk for the first 12 months of their lives.
57. I love story telling about past memories with my family
58. I passed out the first time in my life from crashing into the corner of a wall when I was roller skating.
59. I've peed in my car because I couldn't hold it in and was stuck in traffic.
60. I would love to write children's books or a novel before I kick the bucket
61. I wanted to earn a PhD
62. I pretend to be tough
63. I get my feelings hurt and wear my heart on my sleeve
64. I cheat on diets so I've temporarily decided not to go on them anymore...
65. I've never smoked or done any drugs...or had the desire to.
66. I had my first alcoholic drink when I was 17
67. I'm a crybaby
68. I turned down scholarships to stay home and work for my family
69. I worked two jobs and went to college to fulfill my goal of earning a degree.
70. I love to meditate
71. I'm Catholic but in my heart I'm a Catholic Buddhist
72. I love learning about other cultures
73. I can't stand cleaning, but I love the way I feel when everything is clean and in it's place.. That's my drug
74. I'm an organized mess at times
75. I would love to travel the world for a year with my family before my kids are too old and leave the nest.
76. I love listening to music...and I cry when I do
77. I love to dance
78. I wanted to be an artist
79. I wanted to go to NYU, but happily graduated from Loyola University
80. I occasionally get the blues
81. I am critical of people with moral "issues" and I know I shouldn't judge.
82. I expect a lot from myself and my family

85. I love to get really dressed up to go to fancy functions
86. I have social anxiety and occasionally hyperventilate
87. I can get very unfocused at times
88. I love math
89. I still act like a kid with my kids!
90. I am very angry with my father
91. I love my home
92. My house is my sanctuary
93. I am a "homebody"
94. I love shoes
95. I'm having a hard time facing our economic reality
96. I want my kids to always feel like they can confide in me
97. I am terrified to temporarily "loose" my kids to the teenage years phenomenon
98. I've picked my nose while driving :-)
99.  I sing loud in my car, shower, where ever music notes hit me and don't have a worry in the world when I do.
